Sheila Mosong
Head of Communications
As Head of Communications at BoyChild Kenya, Sheila Mosong leads the organization’s strategic communications and public relations efforts, ensuring that the stories, struggles, and successes of youth especially boys are visible, impactful, and drive real change. She oversees content development, media engagement, campaigns, and digital platforms to shape public discourse around drug and substance abuse prevention, education, and youth empowerment.
With a strong foundation in Public Relations, Sheila brings a sharp understanding of how to influence perception, build trust, and amplify the voices of underserved communities. She works collaboratively with teams and partners to develop compelling narratives that inform, inspire, and mobilize action from communities, media, and policymakers alike.
Sheila has over 8 years of experience in strategic communication, PR, stakeholder engagement, and digital advocacy. Before joining BoyChild Kenya, she led public relations and communications for national awareness campaigns focused on adolescent health, gender equity, and civic education.
She holds a degree in Public Relations and Communication, and has received additional certifications in digital strategy and social impact storytelling. Sheila is deeply committed to youth-led advocacy, narrative justice, and inclusive communication, ensuring that messaging is not only seen but heard, understood, and acted upon.
In her free time, Sheila enjoys community theater, photography, and training youth in media and communications.
