Edith Karwitha is a Kenyan educator, gender equality advocate, and passionate environmental activist with over 10 years of experience working at the intersection of education, social justice, and sustainability. Her work focuses on empowering youth particularly girls and boys from underserved communities through inclusive education, climate awareness, and gender-transformative approaches.

As a teacher, Edith has been instrumental in fostering safe, supportive learning environments that promote equal opportunities for all students. She integrates gender-sensitive teaching practices and life skills training into school programs, nurturing young leaders who are conscious of their rights and responsibilities.

Edith is also a vocal advocate for environmental justice, leading tree-planting initiatives, climate education campaigns, and clean-up drives in both rural and urban settings. She believes that protecting the planet and advancing gender equality must go hand in hand to create lasting change for future generations.

Currently serving with BoyChild Kenya, Edith plays a vital role in designing and implementing community-based programs that address environmental sustainability, youth empowerment, and gender-based discrimination. Through her advocacy and mentorship, she continues to inspire collective action toward a just, green, and inclusive society.
